We invite you to visit the major retrospective dedicated to Mario Giacomelli from May 22 to September 7, 2025. On the centenary of his birth, Palazzo Reale in Milan is hosting the exhibition Mario Giacomelli. The Photographer and the Poet, featuring over 300 original photographic works, including vintage and period prints, documents, and archival materials. In an evocative narrative journey, structured around large chronological chapters that unfold through photographic series inspired by the works of great poets, the exhibition celebrates the central theme of photography as storytelling, structured using the language of the unconscious. The exhibition project is completed by an exhibition dedicated to the metamorphosis of matter and his performative conception of photography, which will be held at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome.
