The result of over fourteen years of work by the Schifano Archive, the catalogue raisonné of the paintings of Mario Schifano (1934-1998) is the first and only scientific publication authorized by the S.I.A.E. and recognized by the heirs and the Archive as the definitive catalogue of the master’s works. This first volume, published by Skira, presents the works created by the artist from 1960 to 1969 and includes over 1.600 images and photographs, most of which are unpublished, from Mario Schifano’s private archive and from all the most accredited archives relating to those years, such as the Ugo Mulas Archive, Camilla and Earl McGrath Foundation, Franco Angeli, Elisabetta Catalano, Antonio Dondero, Uliano Lucas, Joanne Baskin Elkin, Franco Pinna, Patrizia Ruspoli, Plinio De Martiis, Claudio Abate, Renato Gozzano, and Giulia Niccolai.
